U12 Winter League Update

Please read below for an update

SPRSC is registering four teams for the PEI Soccer U12 Indoor Soccer League. We look forward to offering an opportunity to play and develop skills over the winter.  The season is fast approaching so please read the following for training times and other information.

1.  Identification Sessions:
   • There are two divisions for the U12 league, division 1 and division 2. We have entered a team in each division for U12 Boys and U12 Girls.
   • We would like to get all players out to train this Sunday, October 27th, at the Parkman Soccer Complex Lower at the following times:
     • U12 Girls - 3:00 - 4:00 PM
     • U12 Boys - 4:00 - 5:00 PM
   • We may schedule another session during the week if needed but our indoor times don't kick in until the following week.
2. Training Times:
   • Regular practice times will begin on November 6th.
   • Training will alternate each week for boys/girls between the Norton Diamond Indoor Soccer Facility in Stratford and Parkdale Elementary**.
   • November 6th - Dec 12th:
     
     • Norton Diamond Indoor Soccer - Wednesdays*, 5:30-7:00 PM (Both Teams) 
     • Parkdale Elementary - Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 PM & 6:45-8:00 PM (Teams are separate)
   • January 9th - March 11th:
     • Norton Diamond Indoor Soccer - Thursdays*, 5:30-7:00 PM (Both Teams) 
     • Parkdale Elementary - Thursdays, 5:30-6:45 PM & 6:45-8:00 PM (Teams are separate)
   • For the first week of training (Nov 6th and 7th)
     • U12 Girls on Wednesday at the Norton Diamond Facility
     • U12 Boys on Thursday at Parkdale Elementary 

We will schedule the team times on Thursday once they are created.

*Training at the Indoor is on Wednesdays for the first month but will move to Thursdays as Wednesday interferes with Futsal training many of our players also take part in.

**Please note that indoor shoes will be required for Parkdale Elementary. 

We expect the league schedule to be released early next week. The first league games will take place on November 2nd and November 3rd. Once the schedule is out and teams are assigned we will connect everyone through the RAMP App. 

Overall we've tried to come out with a plan that allows some flexibility to train/play while trying to keep costs down. We understand that the winter can be busy with many different sports on the go. We'll do our best to try to make things work as best we can throughout the winter.
